What happens when I make a reservation online?

The moment you end up booking online on our website you will receive a confirmation email containing the booking details and all the necessary information  to reach the meeting point. In addition you will receive in your e-mail box the invoice for the payment.

 

What is the cancellation policy of Roma Eat?

Your tour will be refunded in full if the cancellation of your booking is made at least within one week prior to the date of the tour.

 

Do I have to book in advance or can I pay cash at the beginning of the tour ?

You can book on the website and pay directly online by credit card or cash the day of the tour. Bookings by phone or email can be made and payment can be settled in the morning on the day of the tour. You will receive all necessary information at the time of booking .

 

Are you doing any donation in response to Covid-19 crisis? To which organization?

For each reservation we are receiving during the Covid-19 crisis we will donate 5€ to “Nonna Roma” (translation Grandma Rome). This association is providing support to people and families in Rome with economic problems , distributing every week the “food pack”. As you can read on their facebook page, “solidarity doesn’t go into quarantine.

At some of the stops vacuum pack service is provided to enable you to carry on the plane the food purchased during the tour.

 

Are high chairs and strollers for children available during the tour ?

For the seated stops high chairs will be provided. You will also have all our support for the use of your strollers during the tour.

Yes, tips for all places are included in the price.

 

Can I leave a tip to the guide?

Certainly, the tour price does not include guide gratuity. If you are happy with the service feel free to leave a tip to the guide. Usually, for the food tour in Rome , a tip of 10-15% on the ticket price is the norm . Obviously it is not obligatory and we will always be happy to offer you the best service in every possible way.

The end of the tour is scheduled in Borgo Pio 5 minutes from Saint Peter’s Basilica and 10 minutes from the nearest subway station.

Do the tours run even in bad weather?

The tours take place if it rains or shines. In case of rain, all tastings are done in covered places. However we kindly ask that all participants bring an umbrella for the walking parts of the tour and check the weather and temperatures so as to wear suitable clothing .

 

In what language ​​is the tour?

The tour is in English or in Italian.
